Seating arrangements at a wedding

Seating arrangements are a huge “headache”, however the advantages are clear: guests can enjoy the Chupa, with the couple, with peace of mind. They know they have a reserved seat at the table, near friends or relatives.

It doesn’t matter when you work on the seating arrangements, completion of those arrangements will be only close to the event’s date, after you receive final confirmation of attendance from the guests.

You know of many people who are more sensitive to noise, especially the older ones. Ask for a layout of the hall from the staff and of course, ask them where the DJ station will be placed. Similarly, try and place the young people near the dance floor.

Try and seat the guests around the tables according to the type of relation you have with them: a table for co-workers, relatives, friends, etc. If you know of a dispute between people, don’t seat them together thinking your wedding will bring them closer to one another.

Try to avoid seating heavy smokers with uncles who are advocates of healthy living. Despite the ban on smoking in public places, there are still those who light up, secretly.
